I love makeup as a hobby and think it makes me look more polished! I don't use it because I have to, I use it because I want to!

What's in my Bag?

I thought I would write a post about my own the go bag. I carry a medium-sized black Longchamp Le Pliage when I'm on the go, shopping, going to a party, or going to a sorority meeting. It's a perfect size and can carry everything that I need (except for big things, like my MacBook!) Here's what I typically carry:

• Mini Dove Deodorant in Powder
• Kleenex tissues
• Vera Bradley mini clutch with lady items :-)
• Extra pen or two
• Vera Bradley All-In-One Wristlet (which I highly recommend)
• Lip balm
• Ipod nano

7 Deadly Beauty Sins

1.) Greed What is your most inexpensive beauty item? Most expensive?
My most inexpensive beauty item would be a Revlon single pink eyeshadow that I purchased at the Dollar Store. I use it as a highlighter. My most expensive beauty item is my Naked palette by Urban Decay.
2.) Wrath What product do you have a love/hate relationship with? What product has been the hardest to get?
The product I have a love/hate relationship with is my liquid eyeliner. It does not have anything to do with the brand/formula... I just need more practice! I can't think of any products that I have had trouble buying... I usually do a lot of research before buying cosmetics and make sure they are available at the store before purchasing.
3.) Gluttony What is your most delicious product?
My most "delicious" product would have to be my NYX lipglosses. They smell so good!
4.) Sloth What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
I'm going have to say my eye makeup remover. Sometimes when I'm really tired, I skip it because removing mascara and eyeliner is a chore, especially when they are waterproof.
5.) Pride What beauty product gives you the most self-confidence?
My 24/7 eyeliners by Urban Decay! I always get compliments when I wear unusual colors, such as blue, because they compliment my eyes and are really pigmented.
6.) Lust What attributes do you find attractive in a guy?
Defined muscles, self-confidence, good dresser, sociable, determination
7.) Envy Which item would you love to receive as a gift right now?
The Naked 2 palette by UD. I'm not sure if I am going to buy it for myself... but if I received it has a gift, I'd be pretty happy!

Practice makes perfect! Brushes are everything. Primer, primer, primer! And enhance, don't go crazy!

New Products That I Love

Face
MAC Studio Fix Foundation SPF 15 in NC15 ($27)
I love this foundation! My old one made my face look shiny and oily. This one has a matte finish and great coverage! I think that the price is pretty affordable too. The only drawback is that it does not come with a pump. MAC does sell pumps, but for seven dollars! Of course I had to get it... but I wish the pump was already included!
Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Peach Satin (approx $7)
When I was home on break, I forgot my NYX blush in my dorm at school! So, I went up to CVS to pick up a blush. I wanted to try something new, so I got this mousse blush. It's amazing! I love it. Unfortunately, Maybelline did discontinue it and has a new blush that I hear isn't as great. But if you do see some still on sale, get it before it's gone forever!
MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural in Light ($21)
I love this powder! I wear it on top of my Studio Fix foundation and it provides great coverage.
Clean and Clear Morning Burst Fruit Infusions Face Wash and Lotion ($7 and $6)
This combination is great and works for my skin. I don't spend a lot of money on face products, and these are affordable and reliable. The face wash smells really good. The lotion was a little harsh on my face at first, but seems fine now. I had dry skin over winter break, and the lotion cleared that up! It also has SPF in it, which is great.


Eyes
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliners ($18)
I love these eyeliners! They don't crease and have great pigmentation! I have a lot of colors and sizes. I have about five in travel-size and three in full-size. I have a lot of browns, one black, two blues, and one purple. They are worth the price!
Urban Decay Primer Potion, Professional Size (approx $30)
Primer is so important to have! I love UDPP and the primer lasts forever! If you are on a budget, I would recommend getting the normal size because a little bit goes a long way. I used to use the baby-size primer and it lasted me from July until Christmas. The regular sized primers seem to have better staying power than the samples.
Too Faced Naked Eyes Palette ($36)
This is my first Too Faced product, and I am impressed! These colors are so great and SOOO pigmented! My favorite color is Satin Sheets, which reminds me of UD's Sin, but much more pigmented. I definitely want to buy the other Too Faced eyeshadow palettes.
Wet N' Wild Eyeshadow Trio in I Dream of Greenie (approx $4)
I had heard so many good things about Wet N' Wild's eyeshadows, so I decided to see for myself! I chose the green trio because I did not have a green shadow in my collection. I was really surprised at the greatness of the pigmentation! These colors are not necessarily ones to wear everyday since they are so bright.

Shower Power

Here's my shower routine!

Hair Products
Head and Shoulders Shampoo (around $5)
Yup, I have dandruff. And I take care of it! My scalp is oily, but dry at the same time. I actually really like this shampoo! My hair is really soft and I don't have any dandruff anymore.
Neutrogena T/Gel Original Formula Shampoo ($9)
This is another shampoo-type product that I use for my scalp. I use this twice a week and just on my scalp. It is supposed to be very powerful, and I can see the results. The product has a VERY weird smell to it... and I would only recommend this to people who have problems with their scalps.
L'Oreal EverSleek Smoothing Deep Conditioner ($9)
I don't use a regular conditioner daily since my hair gets oily, but I do deep condition once a week. I really like this deep conditioner/hair mask. It keeps my hair smooth without being oily.

Body Products
Dove Deep Moisture Nourishing Body Wash (approx $7)
I really enjoy this body wash! I think Dove has the best ones out there... well in drug stores at least! It smells really good and makes my skin feel really soft.

Other Stuff
Gillette Venus Disposable Razors ($7)
I will only use these razors! I love them and they are great for my sensitive skin. I rarely cut myself with these and they don't leave my skin feeling itchy.
Shower Sponge (price varies, I got mine for $2)
I really love shower sponges! I use this with my dove body wash and it's really fun and I feel like I'm pampering myself.
